WHAT TO EXPECT

Dr. Kristin Doyle performs an exam exam in her optometrist office in Sarasota, FL

It is essential to dilate your pupils to ensure that a detailed health assessment is done accurately. Without dilation, there are many eye diseases and conditions that cannot be recognized and diagnosed. Please expect to be dilated and to be at Spectacle Gallery for at least one hour if you are having a full, comprehensive eye exam. Dilation causes your eyes to have mild burring and light sensitivity for a few hours. While many people feel comfortable enough to drive themselves home after an eye exam, we recommend bringing a friend or family member to drive you home.

At Spectacle Gallery, expect your eye questions and concerns to be answered in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

A knowledgeable licensed optician will sit with you and discuss your lens options and frame design. Do not worry if you did not receive your prescription at Spectacle Gallery. Even if you received your spectacle prescription from another doctor, we would love to be your personal optician. We want to get to know you and your own personal style.
